Union Minister inaugurates Bengaluru Rozgar Mela
Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Labour and Employment, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, inaugurated the Rozgar Mela held in Bengaluru on Saturday. The employment fair aimed to connect job seekers with various government and private sector opportunities, offering a platform for youth to explore career prospects across multiple sectors.
Organized under the Central Government’s nationwide Rozgar Mela initiative, the event saw participation from a range of public sector units, government departments, and private firms. Several young aspirants received appointment letters on the spot, marking the beginning of their professional journeys. Speaking at the event, the Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to employment generation and skill development. “Rozgar Melas are a step toward empowering youth by bridging the gap between talent and opportunity. Our vision is to ensure that India’s youth are not only job seekers but also job creators,” she said.
The event also highlighted Initiatives under the Skill India and Start-up India missions, encouraging participants to take advantage of training and entrepreneurship schemes. The Minister interacted with the attendees and urged them to actively engage with various MSME schemes that promote self-reliance and local enterprise development.
Job seekers from Bengaluru and nearby districts attended the mela in large numbers, reflecting strong interest in government-backed employment initiatives. Officials from the Labour Ministry noted that more Rozgar Melas will be held across Karnataka in the coming months to boost employment opportunities and economic participation at the grassroots level.
