The Police have arrested two individuals, including a minor, in connection with the murder of a man, identified as Vikas Kumar Machot (25) from Bihar. The incident occurred on April 6 in the Karihobanhalli area under the jurisdiction of the Peenya  Police Station.

The victim, a construction worker residing in Kadabagere, was walking home after finishing work in Andrahalli when he was attacked by the accused. The suspects, Santosh Kumar (19) and the minor, believed that Vikas Kumar had money in his bag and decided to rob him.

They dragged him to a deserted area near Panchmukhi Layout in Karihobanhalli. However, it was later discovered that Kumar had no money on him. Tragically, he succumbed to the injuries inflicted during the attack.

The attackers then discarded the body In a remote spot and fled the scene. The police, acting on information provided by locals, arrived at the site and conducted an investigation. CCTV footage from the area helped authorities identify and question the suspects, leading to their arrest. The police have confirmed that the motive behind the murder was robbery, although the victim had no money.

Both suspects have been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway. The police have assured the public that the investigation will continue to uncover any additional details about the crime. Authorities are also focusing on the involvement of the minor, who is under questioning.
