Teacher accused of assaulting SSLC student over minor issue
A girl student of Sri Annapoorneshwari Vidyaniketana School in Girinagar was allegedly assaulted by her teacher, Bhagya, over a minor issue. The student was admitted to a hospital and is currently undergoing treatment. According to the complaint filed by the student’s parents at the Girinagar police station, the teacher allegedly hit the girl, causing injuries. Following the complaint, the police have registered an FIR and are investigating the matter. The student’s mother claimed that the teacher had been conducting extra classes from 7 am to 10 pm in preparation for the SSLC exams. She alleged that the teacher was putting excessive pressure on students and threatening them with consequences if they failed to attend these sessions. “She warned that if any student missed the classes, their results would be withheld,” the mother stated. Local authorities are looking into whether the teacher’s actions violated any educational guidelines or student welfare policies. Meanwhile, school management has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident. The case has raised concerns about student safety and the mental well-being of children facing academic pressure. Parents and activists are urging stricter monitoring of teacher conduct to prevent such incidents in the future. The police are continuing their investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to the alleged assault.
