St. Flower English School came alive with energy and purpose on World Environment Day as students, teachers, and staff united in a series of awareness-building activities under this year’s global theme; Reduce Plastic Pollution. The school’s celebration served as a strong reminder of the urgent need to adopt environmentally friendly practices and take a stand against plastic waste.
The day began with a spirited green rally led by students from various grades. Armed with colourful placards, banners, and powerful slogans such as Say No to Plastic, Go Green, Breathe Clean, and Protect Nature, Save Future, the young eco-warriors marched through the surrounding neighbourhood, catching the attention of local residents. The rally’s aim was to educate the public on the hazards of plastic pollution and the importance of embracing sustainable lifestyles. Adding a creative touch to the day, students from Grades VI and VII performed a thematic dance that symbolized the conflict between nature and pollution. The performance, rich in emotion and message, concluded with a hopeful portrayal of restoration, balance, and environmental harmony leaving the audience both moved and inspired.
The school management expressed heartfelt appreciation for the hard work and enthusiasm shown by the students and staff. In a brief address, the leadership urged everyone to commit to small but meaningful eco-friendly changes in their daily lives, reinforcing the belief that small steps can make a big difference.
