SSLC results 2025: 62.34% students pass, 22 score full marks

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has announced the SSLC (Class 10) exam results for the academic year 2024–25. Out of 7,90,890 students who took the exam, 62.34% passed. Impressively, 22 students scored a perfect 625 out of 625.

Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa revealed the results during a press meet at the KSEAB office. Of the total candidates, 3,90,311 were boys and 4,00,579 were girls. Among them, 2,26,637 boys and 2,96,438 girls cleared the exam. Girls continued to outperform boys with a 74% pass rate, compared to 58.07% for boys.

Dakshina Kannada district led with a pass percentage of 91.12%, followed by Udupi (89.96%) and Uttara Kannada (83.19%). Kalaburagi recorded the lowest performance with 42.43%.

The top scorers include Roopa Chanagouda Patil (Belagavi), Shagufta Anjum (Uttara Kannada), Akheela Ahmed (Vijayapura), and C Bhavana (Bengaluru Rural).

Compared to last year’s 73.40%, this year saw an 11% drop in the pass rate. The exams took place from March 21 to April 4, 2025, across 2,818 centers in Karnataka.

KSEAB also announced SSLC exam 2 from May 26 to June 2 and exam 3 from June 23 to June 30. Full schedules are yet to be released.

Urban schools had a 67.05% pass rate, slightly above rural schools at 65.47%. Unaided schools performed best (75.59%), followed by government (62.7%) and aided schools (58.97%).
