Kempegowda Airport launches signature fragrance experience
Published on

In a move to enhance passenger comfort and redefine the airport experience, Kempegowda International Airport’s Terminal 2 has introduced a unique fragrance-based initiative in collaboration with AEROM. The soothing scent, titled “Dancing Bamboo,” aims to create a calming and luxurious atmosphere, reducing travel-related stress and promoting a sense of peace among travelers.

Passengers will now encounter this disinct aroma at key locations throughout Terminal 2, including check-in areas and arrival zones. Remarkably, the fragrance experience is designed to linger even after passengers exit the airport, creating a lasting memory associated with their journey. The initiative reflects a global trend where airports go beyond functional spaces, aiming to evoke emotion and enrich travel experiences. Officials at Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) stated that this fragrance aligns with the terminal’s biophilic design—centered around nature, calmness, and luxury.

Shalini Rao, Chief Marketing Officer at BIAL, said, “At Kempegowda International Airport, we believe that every journey should be deeply personal and memorable. By introducing a unique scent, we aim to enhance passenger experience through sensory engagement and emotional connection.” The fragrance becomes a new branding element for the airport, joining a curated blend of experiences—ranging from art installations and retail outlets to fine dining and personalized lounge services. It’s part of an effort to make every moment at the airport unforgettable. This initiative also symbolizes BIAL’s commitment to innovation, hospitality, and redefining what modern travel should feel like—more than movement, a memorable experience.
