Rs 32.72 cr government land encroachment cleared by DC and team

Continuing the operation to clear encroachments on government land in Bengaluru Urban district, the district administration on Saturday took possession of land worth Rs 32.72 crore.

Under the leadership of District Collector G. Jagadeesha, simultaneous encroachment clearance operations were carried out in Bengaluru East, South, North, Anekal, and Yelahanka taluks, and 10 acres of Gomal (grazing land), cremation grounds, tank beds, Gunduthopu (grove), Kunte (pond), and Kharab (wasteland) land were taken into government custody.

In Kattoogollahalli village of Bidarahalli hobli, Bengaluru East taluk, 31 gunta worth Rs 1.15 crore, and in Kaikondrahalli of Varthur hobli, 1 gunta of cremation ground worth Rs 10 lakh were cleared of encroachment.

In Sidihosakote village of Kasaba hobli, Anekal taluk, 10 gunta, in Bestamanahalli, 6 gunta, in Bukksagara of Jigani hobli, 2 gunta, in Hulimangala, 6 gunta, in Koogoor village of Sarjapur hobli, 2 gunta, in Muthanallur village, 2 gunta, and in Kommasandra village, 10 gunta were cleared of encroachment.

In Yelachaguppe village of Tavarekere hobli, Bengaluru South taluk, 2 gunta, in Dodderi village of Tavarekere hobli, 1 acre worth Rs 3.75 crore, in Mylasandra of Begur hobli, 10 gunta, and in Sompura village of Kengeri hobli, 22 gunta of government land were taken into possession.

In Mallasandra of Dasanapura hobli, Bengaluru North taluk, 7 gunta, in Harokyatanahalli, 1.27 acres, in Hullegowdanahalli, 16 gunta, and in Thoranagasandra village, 1.37 acres of encroachment were cleared.

In Chikkajala village of Jala hobli, Yelahanka taluk, 2 acres worth Rs 14 crore, and in Nellakunte village, 10 gunta worth Rs 2 crore were cleared of encroachment and taken into government custody.
