Rain alert issued for several districts in Karnataka

The Meteorological Department on Wednesday predicted rain and thunderstorms in multiple districts in Karnataka, bringing relief from the heat.
For the next week, rain and thundershowers are expected in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts. Strong winds of 50-60 kmph may affect Belgaum, Dharwad, Gadag, Bidar, Raichur, and Kalaburgi districts. Other districts in North Interior Karnataka will likely experience dry weather. Wind speeds of 40-50 kmph are expected in Mysore, Kodagu, and Chamarajanagar.
Today heavy rain with thunderstorms and wind speeds up to 30-40 kmph is likely in Coastal Karnataka. Hailstorms may hit Belgaum, Dharwad, Haveri, Koppal, Bagalkot, Vijayapura, Kalaburgi, Bidar, and Gadag. Hassan and Kodagu districts may receive widespread rain and thundershowers, while Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, and Davangere could see thunderstorms. Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Ramanagara, Mysore, Bangalore Rural, and Bangalore Urban districts may witness moderate rain with wind gusts of 40-50 kmph.
