Progress review meeting held on site allocation for landless beneficiaries

A progress review meeting regarding the allocation of sites to landless beneficiaries under the Ashraya Scheme was held at the Taluk Panchayat Auditorium in Devanahalli. The meeting was chaired by Bengaluru Rural District Deputy Commissioner A.B. Basavaraj.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Basavaraj stated that several applications from landless individuals have already been submitted through respective gram panchayats under the Ashraya Scheme.

He assured that the site allocation process is progressing in phases, with necessary steps being implemented to expedite the distribution. Officials from the Panchayat Development Office, the Revenue Department, including Deputy Tahsildars,

Revenue Inspectors, and Survey Officers, participated in the review and provided updates on the progress made so far. Devanahalli Taluk Executive Officer Srinath Gowda, Tahsildar H. Balakrishna, Assistant Directors from the Revenue Department, department staff, all Gram Panchayat Development Officers, and Nodal Officers of the Housing Scheme were also present at the meeting.

The review highlighted the collaborative efforts of various departments to ensure the timely allocation of sites to eligible beneficiaries, reflecting the administration’s commitment to addressing the needs of the landless population in the region.
