Bengaluru ;In a significant drug seizure, police have recovered approximately 100 kilograms of cannabis valued at around 3 crore rupees from an apartment located in Karpuru village, Anekal taluk, Bengaluru district. The investigation led to the arrest of Sachin, a Kerala native, who was found in possession of the illegal drugs. However, three other suspects—Rashi, Sanju, and Umed—managed to escape during the operation.

Sachin attempted to flee from the first floor of the apartment but fell and injured himself in the process. He was subsequently admitted to Narayana Health City hospital for treatment. The Anekal police continue their search and investigation at the apartment premises.

Senior officials, including the Rural District Police Superintendent C K Baba and the Deputy Superintendent of Anekal subdivision, visited the crime scene to oversee the ongoing investigation.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the accused were bringing in cannabis from other states and packing it into small packets within the apartment. These packets were then sold to local buyers. During the raid, police found a weighing scale, packing tape, and multiple small cannabis packets in the suspects’ room, confirming their involvement in the illegal drug trade.

Authorities are continuing their efforts to apprehend the remaining suspects and dismantle the drug trafficking network operating in the region.
