Police issue notice in Pratham case
The Doddaballapur police have issued notices to two known rowdy-sheeters in connection with a case filed by Kannada actor Pratham, who alleged that he was threatened with a knife. The accused, identified as Bakery Raghu and Yashaswini, have been directed to appear before the Doddaballapur Rural Police as part of the investigation.
According to police sources, actor Pratham lodged a formal complaint with inspector Sadiq Pasha stating that he was threatened while returning from a programme at the Yellamma Temple. In his statement, Pratham claimed that one of the accused intercepted him, forcibly took him aside, and threatened to kill him with a knife.
Additionally, the accused allegedly showed Pratham a photograph of himself with actor Darshan. Following the complaint, the police registered an FIR and immediately issued notices to the accused, listed as A1 and A2 in the case file. Both have been asked to appear for questioning as investigations continue.
The Doddaballapur police have confirmed that legal action will be taken based on the outcome of the interrogation and evidence gathered. They are also looking into whether the threats are linked to any ongoing disputes or gang affiliations. The case has drawn attention due to Pratham’s popularity and past involvement in controversial incidents. Meanwhile, the police have assured that all necessary security measures are being taken to ensure the safety of the actor.
