Panchakarma unit attracting people
The Panchakarma unit at the Government Ayurveda Hospital on Jayachamarajendra Road in the city has been given a high-tech touch, and people from outside the state are also starting to come here for treatment in increasing numbers.
At a time when innovations are increasing in the allopathic treatment system, there is also a demand for Ayurvedic treatment methods. Various Ayurvedic treatment centers are springing up under the private system, and treatments like Panchakarma are becoming expensive. Therefore, the Panchakarma treatment unit in the Government Ayurveda Hospital on Dhanvantari Road here has been renovated.
Three floors of the hospital's outpatient department and the 'Punarnava' Panchakarma inpatient department building have been allocated for Panchakarma treatment. There are 18 rooms here, and all the rooms have been renovated.
This hospital has been functioning under the Government Ayurveda Medical College on Dhanvantari Road for 60 years and has 300 beds. On average, 600 outpatients visit daily. More than 150 people
Along with Panchakarma, treatments under various Ayurvedic treatment methods including Shirodhara, Basti, Nasya, Tarpana are being provided in this hospital. There is also an outpatient department for Unani and Shalya, a Siddha hospital, and a Shalya Tantra treatment unit in the hospital premises. are receiving treatment as inpatients. There is increasing demand here for Panchakarma treatment, which is one of the Ayurvedic treatment methods, and patients come from various parts of the state. People from neighboring Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and other states are getting admitted and receiving treatment.
