Ahead of the Karnataka Cabinet meeting scheduled for July 2 at the scenic Nandi Hills, Chikkaballapur Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr. Y. Naveen Bhat conducted an inspection visit on Monday to Nandi and surrounding areas to ensure readiness for the high-level event.
During the visit, Dr. Bhat stated that the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and other dignitaries are expected to arrive at Nandigiridham and will visit the historic Bhoganandeeshwara Temple before the Cabinet session. He instructed officials to ensure cordial hospitality, maintain cleanliness around the temple and roads, and remove any plastic or waste materials along the route. Signage must be installed at critical turns along the approach roads to guide visitors efficiently.
Prior to inspecting the Cabinet meeting venue, Dr. Bhat also visited the Aarivu Kendra (Awareness Centre) in Nandi village and encouraged local students and the public to make use of the library facilities available there. He later visited the Kuppahalli Gram Panchayat office, reviewed administrative records, and assessed local development efforts.
Additionally, he inspected a power loom project being operated by a self-help group under the NRLM (National Rural Livelihoods Mission) at Tirnahalli village, under Kuppahalli Panchayat limits. The inspection was attended by Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer G.R. Manjunath, Assistant Director Rafiq, Panchayat Development Officers Ravikumar and Mohan Kumar, and officials from various departments, along with local residents and representatives from Nandi and Kuppahalli Panchayats.
