Member of Parliament Dr. Manjunath has announced that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has granted approval for new entry and exit points on the Bengaluru-Mysore National Highway for the convenience of travelers and motorists. Speaking to media representatives near the Kanva Junction in Channapatna, Ramangar district, he highlighted that an area has been identified for access near the Rampura area in Channapatna. However, due to the lack of suitable space in that location, the Kanva Junction has been selected as the viable spot.
He mentioned that local legislators and NHAI officials have conducted site inspections. The construction of these access points at Kanva Junction will further facilitate tourism, providing direct connectivity to the Kanva Dam, Kengal Anjaneyaswamy Temple, and the old Bengaluru-Mysore highway.
Additionally, he informed that work on skywalks at three locations is set to be completed soon. A Toys Park is also set to be constructed near Channapatna, with the site already identified. He assured that all issues concerning the highway will be addressed step by step.
"Joined national highway officials and Channapatna MLA Shri @CPYogeeshwara to inspect the intended site for entry and exit from the Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway at Rampura. The accessibility at Rampura will benefit Channapatna..."
In a related context, Dr. Manjunath commented on the recent security situation in Pahalgam, responding to opposition claims regarding central security failings. He emphasized that during such instances, the focus should be on an appropriate response to terrorism and how to deal with terrorist challenges, rather than merely discussing the issues at large.
