In an exemplary display of honesty and professionalism, a Metro security staffer at Namma Metro's Mahakavi Kuvempu Road station won widespread appreciation after returning a lost bag containing gold, cash, and important documents to its rightful owner within just 30 minutes.

The incident occurred on the Green Line of the Namma Metro when a commuter, identified as Nivedita Bhat, accidentally left behind her bag while traveling from Mahakavi Kuvempu Road station to Silk Institute on Friday afternoon.

The bag contained a gold necklace worth ₹2 lakh, ₹2,000 in cash, identification cards, and other vital documents. It was discovered by Home Guard Manjulamma, who immediately reported it to higher officials and ensured it was safely returned to Bhat after verifying her identity.

The quick and efficient action by Manjulamma not only prevented potential loss but also highlighted the integrity and commitment of the Metro’s security personnel. Both the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) and the commuter expressed their heartfelt appreciation for her commendable service.

The incident has gone viral locally, with many citizens praising the alertness and sincerity shown by Metro staff in maintaining safety and trust across the public transport system.
