Nandini stores coming soon to metro

Commuters using Bengaluru’s Namma Metro will soon be able to shop for dairy products at their convenience, as Nandini outlets are set to open at select metro stations by the end of this month. The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) and Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) have confirmed the launch and completed preparations at three key stations.

Initially, Nandini stores will be opened at Majestic, Central College, and Baiyappanahalli metro stations. The plan was earlier announced by Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, who had proposed opening such stores at 10 metro stations across the city to boost accessibility to dairy products. KMF Managing Director Shivaswamy stated that these outlets will be fully operational either by the end of July or in the first week of August. The stores will offer the entire range of Nandini products, including milk, curd, butter, ghee, sweets, and other dairy-based items.

Officials also confirmed that after the initial launch, more Nandini outlets will be rolled out at other metro stations in phases. The initiative is aimed at increasing the brand’s visibility, promoting local products, and providing a convenient shopping option for metro users. As Bengaluru’s metro network continues to expand, such collaborations are expected to enhance commuter experience and encourage the use of public transport. The upcoming launch is being viewed as a significant step in merging essential services with urban mobility infrastructure.
