Mercedes-Benz seized in fraud case involving former minister Vinay Kulkarni
Police have seized a luxury Mercedes-Benz car allegedly gifted by Aishwarya Gowda to former minister Vinay Kulkarni, linking it to a high-profile fraud case. The car, valued at ₹60 lakh and bearing registration number KA03 NN 8181, was reportedly bought using funds obtained through fraudulent activities. Authorities stated that the vehicle serves as evidence of a business relationship between Aishwarya Gowda and Vinay Kulkarni. Previously, three other luxury cars—an Audi, a BMW, and a Toyota Fortuner—registered under the name of Aishwarya’s husband, Harish, were also seized as part of the investigation. The ongoing probe has revealed that the funds used to purchase these vehicles were siphoned from victims of a large-scale financial fraud. Aishwarya allegedly gifted the Mercedes-Benz to Kulkarni as part of their business dealings. This incident comes amid growing concerns over high-profile fraud cases in Karnataka. Police are intensifying their crackdown on assets acquired through fraudulent means, aiming to unravel the complex web of financial misappropriation involving influential figures. The seizure adds a new layer to the investigation, potentially implicating more individuals in the fraud case. Authorities are determined to recover all misappropriated assets and bring those responsible to justice. Further developments in this case are expected in the coming days. This case highlights the importance of vigilance in financial transactions, as frauds involving significant sums often disrupt trust and accountability in business dealings.
