KPAC’s mismanagement creates chaos for candidates. KPSC issues hall tickets at midnight for May 2 exams
The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) has caused significant distress for candidates appearing for the Gazetted Probationary Examination. Following a translation error in the December preliminary exam, several candidates had approached the Karnataka High Court, which permitted them to sit for the main exam starting on May 3.
In a shocking turn of events, KPSC accepted applications until midnight on May 2, forcing candidates to wait at the office to collect their hall tickets. They were then instructed to report for the exam the next morning at a pre-designated center.
This last-minute notification left many candidates struggling with the stress of acquiring their hall tickets and attending the exam the following day. Candidates, who had hoped to avoid such an ordeal, voiced their dissatisfaction with the commission’s management. They questioned why such delays and confusion were allowed to happen at such a crucial stage of the examination process.
Several candidates expressed concerns about the lack of communication and poor planning by the KPSC, emphasizing that the short notice not only affected their mental preparedness but also caused logistical challenges, especially for those traveling from distant locations. Some candidates reported difficulties in arranging transportation and accommodation at the last minute. Aspirants urged the commission to adopt a more transparent and organized approach in future exams to ensure fairness and reduce unnecessary anxiety among those aspiring for government service positions.
