HM Rao Unveils Emergency Block Facilitated By MP Surya At Jayanagar General Hospital

Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao on Saturday inaugurated an accident and emergency block at the Jayanagar General Hospital, the establishment of which was facilitated by Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya. Comprising 15 casualty beds, one minor operation theatre and 30 paediatric ICUs, the facility was built with an assistance of Rs 4 crore from Canara Bank's CSR support. Purchase of PICU equipment and Casualty Renovation were done with an assistance of Rs 2.18 crore from Karnataka State Medical Supplies Corporation (KSMSC) and Rs 1.79 crore from Karnataka Health Systems Development and Reforms Project (KHSDRP). Speaking after the inauguration, Surya said: It is the Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi Ji's priority to make healthcare accessible and affordable. The establishment of this new Emergency Block will definitely benefit lakhs of patients in and around the city, providing them top quality treatment.
