Former MLA R Manjunath complained irregularities in BBMP

Bengaluru: Former MLA R. Manjunath has raised concerns about defects in the ₹25 crore project being implemented under the Chief Minister's Amrut Nagarothana Scheme in the Dasarahalli division of BBMP. He has written a letter to the BBMP Commissioner Tushar Girinath, urging the halt of bill payments and calling for an investigation into the matter, accompanied by a 44-page document.

The development project for 110 villages under BBMP includes various areas in the Dasarahalli region, such as Shettihalli, Brindavan Layout, Babanna Layout, Saptagiri Layout, NMH Layout, and Shridevi Layout. The project management consultancy (PMC) has been assigned to Macadege Core Technology, with work orders issued on March 24, 2024. However, the Executive Engineer of the Dasarahalli division, Dharanendra Kumar, was transferred on March 11—just two days prior to signing the work order, which Manjunath calls illegal.

He also highlighted concerns regarding the preparation of two transfer certificates (CTC), labeling it a criminal act, and pointed out discrepancies in the attendance register where Dharanendra Kumar's transfer was inaccurately recorded from March 11. Manjunath noted that Dharanendra Kumar, who was transferred to the TCC division, signed the attendance register there starting March 12, after which corrections were purportedly made in the register. Manjunath has attached documents obtained by RTI activist M.H. Nandeesh to his complaint.
