Acting on a tip-off, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) Narcotics Control Team apprehended a foreign woman involved in the illegal sale of MDMA crystals in TC Palya, under the jurisdiction of the KR Puram Police Station. The arrested woman was running a store catering to foreign nationals, selling food items and other essentials. Investigations revealed that she was also selling banned narcotics, including MDMA crystals, targeting foreign nationals, college students, and IT professionals for financial gain. During the raid, officers seized 12 kilograms of MDMA crystals in white and yellow forms, valued at a staggering ₹324 crore. Additional items confiscated included a mobile phone and 70 Airtel SIM cards. The arrested suspect admitted to working with an African-origin woman based in Mumbai, who supplied the drugs at lower prices. The accused would then sell these at higher prices in Bengaluru. However, the primary supplier managed to evade arrest, and efforts are underway to locate her. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act and the Foreigners Act at KR Puram Police Station. The accused was presented before the court on December 13, 2024, and was remanded to judicial custody. The police are continuing their investigation to trace the supplier and dismantle the drug network. This operation underscores Bengaluru's commitment to curbing the illegal drug trade and ensuring public safety.
