Farmers conclude training program on Modern Animal Husbandry

A two-day training program for farmers, organized by the District Panchayat's Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services Department, concluded on Tuesday at the Veterinary Training Center in Ramanagara city.
During the valedictory ceremony, Dr. Asadullah Shareef, Deputy Director of the District Animal Husbandry Department, distributed certificates to the participants. A total of 40 farmers from the district took part in the training, where they received comprehensive information on modern methods of rearing cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs, as well as disease control programs.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Asadullah Shareef stated that the Animal Husbandry Department is providing essential training to farmers in the district to facilitate the adoption of modern animal husbandry practices for cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs. He mentioned that 80 farmers are trained each month, divided into two batches of 40 farmers each, over a two-day period.
Dr. Nazeer Ahmed, Chief Veterinary Officer of the Animal Husbandry Department, added that participants in the two-day training receive both instruction and certificates. He highlighted that these certificates will assist farmers in availing loan facilities and other benefits under various central and state government-sponsored schemes.
Farmers interested in participating in future training programs can obtain more information by contacting their nearest veterinary hospital or the Taluk Veterinary Officer.
Also present at the event were Dr. Vishwanath, Chief Veterinary Officer from the Deputy Director's office, and Dr. Vijayalakshmi, Senior Veterinary Officer for Mobile and Extension services at the Ramanagara Animal Husbandry Department.
