Explosives found near BMTC bus stand in Bengaluru

Six gelatin sticks and several detonators were discovered inside an unattended bag at the Kalasipalya BMTC bus stand in central Bengaluru on Wednesday, police said. The bag was spotted outside a toilet at the busy transport hub, which sees thousands of commuters daily.

Police received a tip-off about the suspicious bag in the afternoon and promptly informed the bomb disposal squad. The area was immediately cordoned off, and the explosives were secured.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), S Girish, confirmed the recovery and said an FIR is yet to be registered. Further investigation is underway.
