Drunken brawl in bar turns fatal, as man stabbed to death
A man was fatally stabbed following a minor argument at a bar in Bannerghatta on Friday night. The victim has been identified as Suresh, a resident of Kenchagaiahanadoddi, and the accused is Kantaraju. According to police reports,
Suresh, who worked at a garage, had gone with friends to the Tharangini Bar in Shanubhoganhalli. At the same time, Kantaraju and his associates were also present at the bar, drinking and speaking loudly.
Suresh requested them to lower their voices, which angered Kantaraju. In response, Kantaraju challenged Suresh, questioning his authority to interfere. The argument quickly escalated into a physical altercation.
Although the situation appeared to have calmed after the scuffle, the matter took a deadly turn. Suresh returned home, but Kantaraju and his gang followed him to his residence. In a shocking act of violence, they barged into his house and stabbed Suresh multiple times in the stomach and chest in front of his wife. Suresh was rushed to Victoria Hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
Following the incident, Bengaluru Rural Additional SP Nagesh Kumar, Anekal Sub-Division Deputy SP Mohan Kumar, and officials from Bannerghatta police station visited the crime scene. A case has been registered at Bannerghatta police station, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend Kantaraju and his associates, who are currently absconding. Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward to aid in the investigation.
