GITAM Bengaluru celebrated National Science Day by launching the Multidisciplinary Unit of Research on Translational Initiatives (MURTI) Research Centre, aligning with the core principles of the National Education Policy 2020. MURTI aims to foster collaboration among experts from various fields to drive significant advancements and positive change.

The inauguration event was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Dr. Kota Harinarayana, known for his role in the LCA Tejas program, and Christopher W. Hodges, Consul General of the U.S. Consulate in Chennai. GITAM's Vice Chancellor Prof. Dayananda Siddavattam and ProVC Bengaluru Campus Prof. KNS Acharya also attended, lending significance to the occasion.
