Humanity thrives on mutual trust, love, and the values of co-existence, a principle strongly advocated by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, said senior thinker Shivashankar. He emphasized that people must live freely while ensuring others also have the opportunity to thrive.

Speaking at the ‘Ambedkar Reading Program’ organized at Seshadripuram Academy of Business Studies in Kengeri, in association with the Kannada and Culture Department, Shivashankar highlighted that Ambedkar was not limited to any single community.

Instead, he was a pioneer of human values and an architect of inclusive progress. His life and writings must be passed on to the younger generation to eradicate narrow-minded attitudes related to caste and religion and build a modern India rooted in equality and justice. Ambedkar firmly believed that literacy was not just about learning to read and write but about gaining knowledge that leads to transformation.

He remained a lifelong learner, setting an example for future generations. Vode P. Krishna, General Secretary of Seshadripuram Educational Trust, emphasized that Ambedkar’s contributions, including the Hindu Code Bill, played a crucial role in the upliftment of women.

He urged the youth to be aware of the country’s history and Constitution, making programs like the ‘Ambedkar Reading Program’ essential. The event saw the presence of Janapada Academy President Gollahalli Shivaprasad, Suresh Gowtham, Principal Dr. Jayaram, Dr. Manjunath, Dr. Shobha, and others.
