Dr Bhujanga Shetty’s Last Rites Held

Head of Narayana Ophthalmology and renowned ophthalmologist Dr Bhujanga Shetty's last rites were held at Harishchandraghat Rudrabhoomi. He died of a heart attack on Friday night. Arrangements were made for the last darshan of the body at his residence in Basaveshwara Nagar on Saturday from 8 am to 10.30 am and from 11 am to 2 pm at Narayana Netralaya, Rajajinagar. Former Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai, Dr Rajkumar family members, Dr. C.N. Manjunath, Dr Deviprasad Shetty, Dr Sudarshan Ballal along with doctors from various hospitals and leaders from various fields took final darshan. Dr Rajkumar Netra Nidhi was started by Dr Bhujangashetty, by creating awareness about eye donation, has given the light of sight to the lives of millions of people. He has helped two by donating his eyes. Dr Owing to the death of Bhujanga Shetty, outpatient services at Narayana Nethralaya, Rajajinagar, Bannerghatta, Indiranagar and Narayana Health City branches were completely suspended on Saturday. Previously scheduled surgeries were performed to avoid complications for patients.
