The women’s police station in Doddballapura, Bengaluru Rural district, has been completely renovated in just 69 days. Previously, the station was operating out of a building that was once a family residence, which caused difficulties in police functioning, including taking complaints, counseling, and interrogations.

Inspector M.B. Naveen Kumar took charge of the women’s police station on March 13 and immediately initiated the renovation project. The refurbishment began on March 29 with support from police staff Lokesh Hew and Sunil Godarale. The project was funded through CSR grants and donations, enabling the station to be revitalized within a short period. Additionally, a Legal Service Center was established within just seven days to assist complainants.

On World Environment Day, Bengaluru Rural Superintendent of Police C.K. Baba inaugurated the renovated station. He praised Inspector Naveen Kumar and his team for their dedicated efforts in upgrading the facility and setting up the counseling and legal centers. Plans are underway to add a library and a dedicated playroom for children to further improve services.

Senior officials including ASP Dr. Venkatesh Prasanna, DSP Ravi P., and local administrators were present at the inauguration. This renovation is expected to enhance the efficiency of the women’s police station and provide a more supportive environment for women seeking help.
