D.K. Shivakumar highlights government’s efforts to improve civil servants’ lives

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar emphasized the government’s commitment to improving the lives of civil servants during the Civil Services Day celebration held at Tripuravasini, Palace Grounds, Bengaluru. At the event, 12,692 civil servants were awarded permanent appointment letters. Shivakumar praised the government’s efforts to provide equal opportunities for all citizens, especially civil servants, to ensure societal equality.

In his address, Shivakumar highlighted that the government had fulfilled its promises by granting permanent jobs to civil servants, ensuring a better future for their families. He mentioned that these workers, who have contributed significantly to the development of Bengaluru, would now have access to improved services and opportunities.

The Deputy Chief Minister compared civil servants to essential pillars of society, such as farmers, laborers, soldiers, and teachers, all of whom play a crucial role in building a strong and secure society. Shivakumar also reflected on the government’s policies that focused on education, health, and skill development for the future of civil servants’ children. With a budget allocation of ₹700 crores for various welfare programs, he reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating a robust framework for their welfare.

The event also witnessed tributes to former leaders and officials who fought for the betterment of civil workers. Shivakumar urged all workers to continue their contributions for the state and highlighted the government’s plans to extend support for retirement benefits and children’s education.
