In an effort to swiftly address the issues faced by the public, Minister of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, as well as Bengaluru Rural District In-charge Minister KH Muniyappa, has directed officials to expedite the resolution of complaints lodged during the Janata Darshan program within a month. The Janata Darshan initiative serves as a vital platform for citizens to submit various grievances, eliminating the need for daily visits to government offices. During the program inaugurated at Babu Jagjeevan Ram Bhawan in Doddaballapur taluk, the Minister stressed the importance of prompt resolution, excluding cases entangled in court proceedings, focusing on solving the rest within a stipulated one-month timeframe. Addressing environmental concerns, the Minister responded to the distressing reports of factory waste contaminating Nagarakere and Bashettihalli lakes in Doddaballapur. Additionally, he announced the approval for the construction of a district hospital in Doddaballapur, with further steps awaiting discussions with the Health Minister for fund allocation. Dheeraj Muniraju, MLA of Doddaballapur Assembly Constituency, emphasized the urgency of prompt responses from taluk-level officials in resolving public issues within specified timelines. He submitted requests to the Minister regarding infrastructure development, drainage systems, urban planning, and housing provisions for refugees. Following government directives, Janata Darshan will occur every 15 days, with submissions logged on the IPGRS portal and a comprehensive report provided to the government post-resolution. In recent Janata Darshan events, a significant number of grievances were addressed, reflecting an efficient disposal rate, although certain legal issues will necessitate longer scrutiny. Bangalore Rural District Collector Dr. Sivashankar lauded the substantial progress, confirming that approximately 70% of the applications have been successfully resolved, setting a promising benchmark for the program's efficacy in addressing public grievances.
