The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has issued a directive to ensure safety measures ahead of the international Aero India 2025 event scheduled to take place at the Yelahanka Air Force Station from February 1 to February 14, 2025.
As per the announcement, developers and organizations constructing high-rise buildings within a 10-kilometer radius of the Yelahanka Air Force Station have been instructed to lower the height of cranes used at construction sites during this period. Additionally, crane operations at such sites must be temporarily suspended to ensure the smooth conduct of the airshow. The BBMP has warned that any violations of these guidelines will result in strict legal action under the BBMP Act of 2020 and Rule 91 of the Indian Aircraft Act, 1937. This measure aims to maintain safety and avoid disruptions during the high-profile airshow.
Developers and construction agencies are urged to comply with the regulations to avoid penalties. For further clarification, the public can refer to the official notification or contact the designated BBMP officer. The measure is aimed at ensuring the safety of both the participants and the spectators during the internationally renowned Aero India 2025 event. The directive comes in close coordination with the Indian Air Force, which has emphasized the importance of maintaining a clear aerial zone for smooth operations during the airshow.
