Car owner speeds away after changing tires with clamp installed by traffic police
A unique incident occurred in Bengaluru where a car owner changed a tyre after traffic police had clamped it due to violations. This incident took place on a side road in the 50th Cross, 3rd Block of Rajajinagar traffic police jurisdiction.
An FIR has been registered against the car owner, identified as R. Suraj, at the Rajajinagar police station.
According to police, they received complaints from the public about a driver modifying the car's silencer, causing noise disturbances. Acting on these complaints, the police located the vehicle parked on the road in Rajajinagar's 3rd Block. However, when they arrived, no one was in the car, so they clamped the front tyre.
The following day, when neither the car owner nor the driver appeared at the station, an investigation revealed that the owner was Suraj. When police called the owner's mobile number, a woman answered and used abusive language when informed about the traffic violation.
Upon revisiting the location where the car had been parked, police discovered that the driver had changed the tyre and fled, leaving the clamp behind. When they attempted to call the mobile number again, it was reported that they were threatened with statements like "I will file a case against you and use influence to get you suspended," according to sources. The police are now investigating further into the matter and looking for the accused.
