BWSSB Chairman Announces Door-To-Door Cauvery Water Connections For 110 Villages

V Ram Prasat Manohar, the Chairman of Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), unveiled plans to extend Cauvery water connections to 110 villages, directly to consumers' doorsteps. He outlined a comprehensive strategy, aiming to visit each household within a 15-day timeframe to provide necessary information on the process and contact details.
Under the directives issued, a campaign march will be organized in each village to disseminate information and facilitate the process of connection acquisition. Concurrently, efforts will be made to identify and rectify unauthorized connections within these areas.
Ram Prasat Manohar highlighted the impending completion of the 5th phase of the Cauvery water project, bringing an additional 750 MLD of water to Bangalore. He stressed the importance of preparing for the imminent water supply commencement by ensuring adequate infrastructure and registering new connections.
Officials must promptly address previous unauthorized connections in some villages, focusing on regularization and revenue generation for BWSSB. Ram Prasat Manohar stressed efficiently setting up new connections to optimize water usage and secure revenue for loan repayment. Officials must encourage residents to use door-to-door water connection services to maximize Cauvery water utilization.
