Bomb threat at Acharya college sparks alarm

A bomb threat at the prestigious Acharya College in Bengaluru has raised concerns after an anonymous individual sent a threatening email. The message not only warned of a bomb planted at the college but also stated the intention to harm the college principal by placing them in a fridge. The alarming email was discovered during an official review of the college’s email communications. In response, the college administration has lodged a complaint with the Soladevanahalli police station.
Following the incident, the Soladevanahalli police registered a case and filed an FIR after obtaining the necessary court approval. Investigations are currently ongoing.
This threat arises just two days after another false alarm, where a claim was made about a bomb on an Indigo flight from Varanasi to Bengaluru. In that incident, a Canadian citizen named Nishant Johanthan had caused panic by suddenly yelling that there was a bomb in his bag while the flight was on the runway at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Varanasi. This prompted an emergency landing and a thorough search of the aircraft and passengers' luggage. Although it was later determined to be a hoax, the incident caused significant disruption.
The recent threats are part of a troubling trend that highlights security concerns in educational institutions and air travel, prompting authorities to remain vigilant in responding to such situations.
