BMTC to launch new non-ac bus service connecting Lingadhiranahalli to Shivajinagar

The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) will introduce a new non-AC bus service starting from May 1, aimed at improving connectivity between Lingadhiranahalli and Shivajinagar. This new route will pass through prominent areas such as Sunkadakatte, Kamakshipalya, Magadi Road Toll Gate, and Vidhana Soudha, facilitating smoother travel between the western parts of the city and its central business district.

Two buses will operate on this route, with one leaving Lingadhiranahalli at 9:00 AM and the other departing from Shivajinagar at 5:30 PM. The initiative is part of BMTC’s effort to enhance public transportation and ease the commute for daily passengers.

The new bus service is expected to benefit a large number of commuters, particularly those who work in central Bengaluru but live in the western parts of the city, offering them a convenient, affordable, and eco-friendly mode of travel. This new initiative by BMTC is part of a broader effort to expand and improve the city’s public transport network, making it more accessible for commuters from different regions.

The service will not only reduce traffic congestion but also promote sustainable transport solutions, encouraging more people to opt for buses over private vehicles. The convenience and affordability of the service are expected to attract many daily travelers.
