In a gesture to support students appearing for the Second PUC Examination-02, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has announced that students can travel for free to their examination centers from their homes using BMTC’s regular services during the exam period.

According to a press release from BMTC, the corporation has decided to issue student passes at discounted rates for travel between their residences and schools/colleges.

The passes are valid for the examination period and are aimed at easing the travel burden on students. The Second PUC exams will be held across various colleges, and with this initiative, BMTC is ensuring that students can attend their exams without any transportation concerns.

The free travel facility will be available from April 24, 2025, to May 8, 2025. Students need to show their exam admission ticket while traveling on BMTC buses to avail of the free travel service.

BMTC has also confirmed that all regular bus routes, including diversions around exam centers, will be operational during this period. If additional routes or diversions are necessary, they will be implemented accordingly.

The BMTC has also made arrangements to allow for pick-up and drop-off points near exam centers upon requests from students or parents. BMTC’s initiative aims to alleviate the stress of travel for students, ensuring they focus on their exams without worrying about transportation costs.

This step is also expected to reduce congestion around examination centers, offering a smooth and efficient commute for students during the crucial exam days.
