In a welcome move for city commuters, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has announced the launch of a new air-conditioned bus service on Route No. 230-D starting July 21, 2025. This initiative aims to provide efficient, reliable, and comfortable transportation at affordable fares.

The newly introduced route will operate between Mysuru Road Bus Stand and Chandrappa Circle, covering key stops including Kengeri, Anchepalya, Hosapalya, Bettanapalya, Bheemanakuppe Cross, and Ramohalli. The service is expected to greatly benefit residents in the southwestern suburbs who commute to central parts of the city.

Only one AC bus will currently serve this route, and the schedule has been structured to accommodate both morning and evening commuters. The departure timings from Mysuru Road Bus Stand are 10:50 AM and 2:10 PM. From Chandrappa Circle, buses will leave at 9:00 AM, 12:15 PM, 3:35 PM, and 5:25 PM. Additionally, Kengeri TTMC will serve as a key point with departures at 8:05 AM and 4:30 PM.

The BMTC continues to expand Its fleet and route network to make public transport more accessible and appealing. This new route aligns with the corporation’s vision to provide climate-controlled and affordable mobility solutions to the growing urban population. Commuters are encouraged to make use of this service and reduce reliance on private vehicles, thereby contributing to reduced traffic congestion and a greener city. Further route expansions are expected in the coming months based on public demand.
