BMRCL to begin metro services at 4:15 am every Monday for commuters’ convenience
In a bid to better serve early-morning commuters, the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced a change to its schedule. Starting January 13, metro services will begin at 4:15 AM every Monday, catering to those returning to the city early in the week. This new timing will be a significant relief for passengers who have long expressed the need for more convenient travel options during the early hours. Currently, the Namma Metro service begins at 5:00 AM daily, but with the revised schedule, Monday commuters will have access to services an hour earlier. This change will apply exclusively on Mondays, while all other days of the week will follow the regular 5:00 AM start time. BMRCL has urged the public to take advantage of this new facility and adjust their schedules accordingly. The move is expected to ease the commute for several passengers, especially those working in sectors that require early hours of travel. The corporation’s decision highlights its ongoing efforts to improve the metro system and provide a more efficient and accessible mode of transport for the growing number of Bengaluru residents. With metro ridership steadily increasing, such enhancements are likely to contribute to a more sustainable and commuter-friendly transportation network. The BMRCL continues to explore further possibilities to meet the needs of its passengers as part of its vision to provide timely and effective public transit solutions.
