BLR Airport’s 080 Lounge wins 10 FAB Awards

Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (BLR Airport) received significant honors at the 2025 Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Awards held in Barcelona, Spain. The airport won 10 awards, highlighting its outstanding hospitality services on both national and international levels. The 080 Lounges stood out by winning seven awards for their luxury, regional authenticity, and innovative offerings.

At Terminal 2, the 080 Lounges were named Best Lounge of the Year – Regional and Global and also won Airport F&B Offer of the Year – Sense of Place – Regional and Global for showcasing local culture and cuisine. The restaurant Qila, located inside the 080 Domestic Lounge at Terminal 2, received the Best Restaurant Design – Regional award for its stunning design and atmosphere. Meanwhile, the 080 Domestic Lounge at Terminal 1 was recognized as Airport Lounge Opening of the Year – Regional and Global for its growing popularity.

These lounges reflect India’s rich heritage, drawing design and culinary inspiration from regions such as Kashmir, Rajasthan, the Great Nicobar forests, and Northeast India’s tea culture. They offer travelers a unique mix of regional food, art, and design that celebrates the country’s diverse culture.

Other winners from BLR Airport included The Irish House at Terminal 2, which won Airport Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year – Regional, and CTR, which won in regional and global categories for Airport F&B Offer of the Year – Sense of Place.

Kenneth Guldbjerg, Chief Commercial Officer at Bangalore International Airport Ltd, praised the awards as recognition of the teams’ dedication and passion. Gaurav Dewan, COO of Travel Food Services, highlighted their focus on authentic flavors and excellent service. The FAB Awards are the only global platform honoring excellence in airport food, beverage, lounges, and hospitality.
