In a recent press conference, the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh outlined the department’s strategic initiatives to enhance public safety, tackle rising crime rates, and encourage citizen participation in law enforcement. The briefing focused on proactive policing, increased patrolling, swift response teams, and stronger community engagement to maintain law and order across the city.

The Commissioner highlighted the growing challenges of both physical and digital crimes and stressed the importance of public awareness and cooperation. Citizens were urged to promptly report any suspicious activity and stay informed about safety measures.

A major focus of the briefing was the promotion of the KSP Safe Connect feature available in the official Karnataka State Police app, developed with a special focus on women’s safety. “This app is essential, especially for women travelling alone or in distress. It connects users to the police instantly,” the Commissioner said. KSP Safe Connect enables users to share live audio, video, and real-time location with police control rooms during emergencies. This facilitates faster response and on-ground action, ensuring timely support when it matters most.

The Commissioner appealed to citizens to take advantage of such digital safety tools and remain alert in public spaces. He reaffirmed the police department’s dedication to safeguarding the people of Bengaluru through a combination of technology, public cooperation, and consistent vigilance. With security evolving to meet modern threats, Bengaluru Police aim to foster a safer city through smart policing and citizen-friendly digital initiatives.
