Bengaluru journos team for state-level cricket tournament

Karnataka Working Journalists’ Association (KUWJ), in collaboration with the Hassan District Working Journalists’ Association, is organizing a state-level cricket tournament on April 12 and 13.

Ahead of the event, KUWJ state president Shivananda Tagaduru unveiled the Bengaluru team’s T-shirts and sports kits. In a brief ceremony held at the Press Club in Bengaluru, Tagaduru distributed T-shirts and shoes to the players and wished the team success under the leadership of Y.S.L. Swamy.

He hoped the Bengaluru team would achieve a hat-trick by winning this year as well, after already claiming victory in Mandya and Mangaluru tournaments.

He noted that all participating teams have undergone rigorous practice this time, promising a highly competitive tournament. He expressed hope that every journalist in Hassan would display true sporting spirit during the event.  Bengaluru team members V. Nanjundappa, V. Dhyan Ponnacha, Manjunath, Girish Garag, Raghavendra Gangatkar, Shivaraj, Bharati Rajan, and others were present on the occasion.
