Bengaluru: An incident of assault has occurred in Basaveshwar Nagar, Bengaluru, where a delivery boy assaulted a customer over a wrong single-digit address.

The victim, identified as Shashank, and the delivery boy, Vishnuvardhan, were involved in the incident.

According to reports, on May 21, Shashank's wife placed an order via an app. When the delivery boy arrived, Shashank’s wife went outside to receive the items. During this time, there was a disagreement over the address, with the delivery boy speaking loudly and aggressively. This led to the delivery boy attacking Shashank, resulting in injuries to his eye. CCTV footage from the house has captured the assault.

Currently, Shashank has lodged a complaint at the Basaveshwar Nagar Police Station, and an FIR has been registered.

Shashank stated that the assault caused a fracture below his eye, and he will undergo further medical checks. If the injury does not heal properly, he may need surgery. The affected company has requested police action to ensure justice.
