The results of the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) 2025, conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for admissions to professional courses including engineering, were announced by Higher Education Minister Dr. C.N. Sudhakar in Bengaluru. Addressing a press conference, the minister shared that this year’s evaluation process included academic considerations such as awarding one grace mark in Physics, acknowledging two correct answers for two Chemistry questions, and two valid answers for one Biology question. These adjustments were taken into account while finalizing the rankings.

A total of 3,30,787 students applied for CET 2025, out of which 3,11,991 students appeared for the examination. Of them, 2,75,677 candidates have received ranks. The minister highlighted that several procedural enhancements were introduced this year to ensure transparency and fairness. These include the deployment of face recognition technology at examination centers and implementation of webcasting across all venues. In a first, all OMR sheets were released to the public domain, allowing students to view their answer sheets.

The KEA has also set up an online document verification system and is prepared for the option entry process. The seat allotment process will begin immediately after NEET results are released. To assist students, a dedicated helpline will be operational every day from 8 AM to 8 PM.
