Ancient Indian Shastra Possesses Greater Power Than Weapons: Avadhoota Sri Vinay Guruji
Bengaluru: Avadhoota Sri Vinay Guruji expressed the opinion that ancient Indian Shastra (scriptures/sciences) possess greater power than shastra (weapons). He stated that India is a unique nation capable of providing solutions to all global problems through its Shastra.
He made these remarks while inaugurating the Mahārudra Kirāta Murti Yajna, organized by Reap Foundation at M.E.I. Ground on Hesaraghatta Main Road, Bagalagunte, in Dasarahalli constituency.
Guruji emphasized that Indian scriptures and practices have a scientific basis, and every ritual holds special significance. "Lighting a lamp with coconut oil or ghee purifies the atmosphere and provides oxygen. India is the land of Yoga, and it was Bhagavatpada Shankaracharya who spread its pinnacle of knowledge across the country. Kerala is the blessed land where such revered saints were born. The Mahārudra Kirāta Yajna complements the promotion of Kerala's culture and traditions. Gopinath Vannery has successfully organized this event for the first time in Bengaluru. It is commendable that everyone has come together for a religious cause," Guruji stated.
He explained that the Kirāta Murti Yajna is a prominent one among various forms of worship for Mahārudra Deva. Thousands of coconuts are offered to the deity. According to Hindu belief, three items—coconut, pumpkin, and lemon—have the ability to absorb negative energy, which is why they are used in worship during special occasions.
The event was attended by former minister Ramachandra Gowda, VRL Group of Companies Chairman Dr. Vijay Sankeshwar, Smt. Lalitha Sankeshwar, MLA Muniraju, Suraj Foundation President Sujatha Muniraju, BJP youth leader Sapthagiri Gowda, Reap Foundation President Gopinath Vannery, Secretary Jayaraj, retired Vice-Chancellor Narayan Gowda, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike leader Praveen Shetty, and others.
