In a serious road accident near the Kempegowda International Airport, a bus ferrying workers overturned near the Begur Junction, leaving at least 15 labourers injured. The bus was reportedly transporting workers for lunch when the incident occurred.

According to preliminary reports, the vehicle lost control and collided with a road divider before overturning. The impact was so severe that several workers were trapped under the overturned bus, leading to scenes of panic and chaos.

Emergency response teams rushed to the spot immediately. A crane was deployed to lift the overturned bus and rescue the trapped workers. The injured were swiftly moved to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.

Visuals from the scene showed extensive damage to the vehicle and emergency personnel working rapidly to extract those stuck beneath the wreckage.

The accident falls under the jurisdiction of the Devanahalli Traffic Police Station, which has registered a case and initiated an investigation into the cause of the mishap. Officials are looking into whether driver negligence or mechanical failure led to the accident.

Sources confirmed that the workers were being transported for their meal break when the crash took place. The incident has raised fresh concerns over the safety of transport arrangements for airport workers, especially on routes frequently used by heavy vehicles.
