18 Kannadigas return safely from Israel
Amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, 18 Kannadigas stranded in Tel Aviv have safely returned to India. As missile and drone attacks intensify between the two nations, concerns over the safety of Indian nationals in the region have grown. The return of these individuals has brought relief to their families and the state government.
The evacuees were first flown from Tel Aviv to Kuwait. From there, they reached Mumbai and finally arrived in Bengaluru today. The group landed safely at the Kempegowda International Airport near Devanahalli at around 5 PM via an Air India flight.
All 18 individuals are residents of Karnataka and were in Israel for various work-related and personal reasons. Officials confirmed that they were part of an emergency evacuation coordinated in response to escalating violence in the region. Authorities at the Bengaluru airport facilitated their safe arrival, ensuring they received necessary assistance upon landing.
The returnees expressed gratitude to the Indian government and embassy officials for the prompt response and coordination that enabled their safe journey home. Family members who had been anxiously awaiting their arrival were emotional as they reunited with their loved ones. The Karnataka government has also assured support and monitoring of the situation for any other citizens still in the conflict zones. With tensions still high in the Middle East, the safe evacuation of these Kannadigas highlights the importance of swift diplomatic and logistical action during international crises.
