White-collar jobs grow fast across India
Bengaluru
India is seeing a strong increase in white-collar job hiring. A new report says there was a 38 percent rise in such jobs in March this year compared to the same month last year. Experts believe this shows India’s growing role in the world economy. Many global companies now want to depend less on China because of new US trade rules, and they are choosing India instead.
Industries like IT, manufacturing, banking, finance, insurance, and healthcare are hiring more people. This is likely because companies are moving parts of their supply chains to India. They are also growing their businesses here. According to V. Suresh, CEO of foundit, India is not just a place with talent but a key driver of growth for companies all over the world. He said India is now seen as a leader in the changing global economy.
Big cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and even smaller cities like Kochi and Vadodara are seeing more job openings. The report said many global companies are now using a “China Plus One” plan, where they look for a second country besides China to do business. This strategy is helping India a lot.
The manufacturing sector had a 78 percent rise in jobs from last year. Companies are hiring in production, supply chain, and quality control roles. IT job growth also rose, especially for roles like full-stack developers, AI engineers, and cloud experts. Cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Pune are leading in tech job hiring.
