T’gana CM meets Singapore FM, focuses on investment

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had a productive meeting with Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan on Friday as part of his two-nation tour to attract global investments.

The Chief Minister, leading an official delegation, described the discussions as "engaging and fruitful." During the meeting, they focused on forging long-term collaborations across various sectors, including infrastructure, energy, sustainable initiatives, water management, tourism, education, and IT parks.

Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, who was present at the meeting, announced plans to strengthen ties with Singapore through a partnership for Telangana's Skill University. The delegation also discussed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Singapore’s ITE-Singapore for the Young India Skill University.

Minister Babu expressed excitement about the potential for long-term collaborations in areas such as renewable energy, infrastructure, tourism, and skill development.

The delegation will remain in Singapore until January 19, continuing discussions on investments before heading to Davos for the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting.

Before the visit, CM Reddy highlighted that Telangana has become a prime destination for investments, especially in the manufacturing and service sectors. He urged state officials to actively promote Hyderabad on the global stage and work towards attracting substantial investments.
