Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest IT services firm, has extended its strategic partnership with Virgin Atlantic for another seven years. The collaboration aims to modernise the airline’s core systems with AI-driven and cloud-first solutions, enhancing personalised, connected, and sustainable travel experiences.

This deal deepens a 20-year relationship between the two organisations, though financial terms were not disclosed. The renewed partnership will focus on boosting technological foundations, modernising airline retail operations, and strengthening system resilience to improve overall customer satisfaction.

TCS will help implement a unified, AI-powered digital core that enhances business agility and operational scalability. As part of this transformation, a cutting-edge technology command centre, co-developed by TCS and Virgin Atlantic, will offer real-time operational insights, allowing staff to make quicker, informed decisions and streamline services. The upgraded systems aim to provide hyper-personalised customer experiences across all travel touchpoints, making journeys more efficient and sustainable for both passengers and crew.
