PM Modi to address key events on investment and women empowerment

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Rajasthan and Haryana today (Monday) for important events aimed at boosting investment and empowering women. In Rajasthan, PM Modi will inaugurate the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) on December 9-10. The summit will address critical topics such as water security, sustainable mining, and women-led startups. It will feature 12 sectoral and eight country-specific sessions, with participation from over 32 countries and 20 international organizations. Following the summit, the Prime Minister will travel to Panipat, Haryana, to launch the Bima Sakhi Yojana by LIC. The scheme, aimed at empowering women aged 18-70 who have completed Class X, will provide them with training and stipends for three years. Participants will be equipped to become LIC agents, with the potential to progress to Development Officer roles. Additionally, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Maharana Pratap Horticultural University in Karnal. The university, with an investment of over Rs 700 crore, will focus on crop diversification and horticulture research, including a College of Horticulture and six regional research stations.
